Lucas – I think it would work quite well in the crock pot! And it is apple cider, NOT vinegar. If you can’t get real apple cider, apple juice would work, too.

I make it almost the exact same way! Cool! Only I use homemade apple wine vs. apple cider.

Yum! I’m so ready to stop eating “summer.”
I had the most delicious pot roast while visiting NC.
I love cooking fall/winter dishes …. I just need the temps to drop outside.
It’s supposed to be 106 again today!

This sounds delicious. Nothing like a good beef stew. I do think winter cooking is your true sweet spot, so to speak:).
