Hangin’ With The Grands

Hi, everybody! Grandma does this blog thing called the Spin Cycle an’ this week it’s about “collages” an’ she said I was gonna be in it. This worried me, since I haven’t even started pre-school, but Grandma says it’s not about school – it’s about pictures.

Like she needs an excuse to take pictures of me; every time I turn around she’s got the camera out.  I didn’t even know what her face looked like till I was 6 months old.

So, Grandma and Grandpa and Uncle Young One (who seems pretty old to me) came down to Cincinnati last weekend to visit me and Mommy and we had a great time!

First we went swimmin’.

After my demonstration of the fine art of splashin’, everybody said they were tired and hungry.  I wasn’t tired, but I figured lunch sounded like a good idea, so we went to Grandma and Grandpa’s new favorite fast food place – Culver’s.

After a healthy lunch of roast beef and green beans (although I may have preferred a grilled cheese sammich, apple juice and frozen custard – not that the Grands would ever actually feed me something like that when we’re by ourselves, you understand), we headed to Carter’s baby store where Grandpa and Mommy did a little shoppin’ and I terrorized the staff kept busy by playin’ Legos with Uncle Young One and chattin’ up the ladies.

Then we stopped by Half Price Books, where I helped Grandpa pick out a  little light reading.

I got to spend some of the time at a neat place called a “hotel” where I got to watch Mickey Mouse and Spiderman and Grandma spent a lot of time saying, “No, G – you can’t play with that.”  Which I basically ignored.

Eventually, we headed back to my and Mommy’s place.  We watched Toy Story, Grandpa read me stories, and I modeled my Halloween costume for everybody.

Does this make my butt look big?

  1. Oh my goodness…if only we could bottle up all this sweetness. I love the expressions on Grandpa’s face and young ones too…very proud aren’t they? It looks like lots of fun was had. The only thing missing is a picture of you and Grandma…maybe one of these days Grandma will hand the camera to Grandpa and he can take a picture of the 2 of you! 🙂 XX

  2. What a cute set of photos. Your grandson will be a lady killer, so you will have to watch out for him when he gets older. Mind you, he probably has no problem with the ladies right now!
I love the costume! My sone wanted to be “Fireman Sam” for Halloween, so we headed to the local Indigo to find the only suit left. He also helped pick out a tonne of books for us as well. Unfortunately, they also have the Thomas the train setup there, and tearing him away from that is like trying to remove gum from your hair. Necessary, but hard. LOL
Has your grandson gotten into Thomas yet?

  3. Y’all are so lucky! I am so looking forward to grandchildren someday! I agree with Lori…I would love to see some pictures with you and the little guy. Maybe the young one will take a picture of the three of you! He is a doll!

  4. How incredibly smoochable! That costume makes your tush look wonderful, as I’m sure it always does.

Where is your Grammie in all these pictures? Did someone hide her on you? Next time you’re up to visit, maybe Mama Badger and the boys will have to come help you find her!

  5. Oh, G! How I love thee! No, that costume does not make your tushy look big. Your diaper does. 🙂
What a beautiful little man, and if we had a place like Culvers, I would be feeding my poor child the same thing.
    You’re linked, Grandma!

  6. What a nice post G! I like the picture of you running through Half Price Books! I remember being exhausted trying to put books back on the shelf in the right place as fast as you were ripping them to the floor! Love you spidey!

  7. Looks like a good time was had. By the ever-cuter G at least. He’s still delicious and in that spider costume, he’d get all my candy…after I fished out all the Twix, of course. 🙂
