I am busier than a Kennedy at a strip club with an open bar, so I’ve not gotten around to read and comment much the last couple of days – sorry about that! I will rectify the situation as soon as I can find time to breathe.
I also don’t have much time to post today, but I will share my giddiness that it will be a blazing 67 degrees in Podunk today! Spring, that capricious flirt, is teasing me with sunshine and warm weather.
So, I present you with the First Sign of Spring:

As I remember, spring in the east is sudden and short. Out here in the west spring drags on from February till the middle of June. I can actually get tired of spring by the time summer finally arrives.

This has been the busiest week imaginable for me too. I am counting down till Sunday which will be my first day with even a few minutes of breathing room I am SO tired ….! It’s gorgeous in Orange County right now too. Seventies to low eighties …… Oh, how I love it!!

Oh, I am jealous! We are a long way off that here — still in coats, hats, scarves and gloves. The canal froze again earlier in the week and yesterday was so cold with a bitter northeast wind that I just refused to go outside at all. The Met Office says spring is two months behind after the coldest winter in 30 years.

Congrats on the warm weather. I dig me some Crocs. I know they’re ugly and made out of rubber, but they are oh so comfy and easy to slip on…and they came in super handy on Friday when I had to wade to first grade during a deluge to retrieve my seven year old…no soaking sneakers for me, water flows in and out and I was no worse for the wear…okay, this comment was not in any way paid for by Crocs.
