Busy, busy, busy!
We ran out to Whitefeather Meats this morning to order our cutting of Charles II – our new side of beef from Ohio’s Best Beef and Hog Farmer, Jon Berger. Yes, for those of you who might be new here, we name our food – our last hog was “Wilbur” because he was some pig – and would go out and meet our animals and pet them and get to know them if we could; we have no problem with that.
Now we’re back in the office and up to our elbows in alligators, and I’ve had no chance to finish the post I’d started last night (lamb meatloaf – you get it next week). So you get a couple of random pictures instead.
I took these down from their place of honor (a floor lamp in our bedroom) and shot this photo two days ago in honor of Fat Tuesday. I love these beads and will never give them away because I acquired them on Bourbon Street during the trip to New Orleans where Beloved proposed.
A friend sent me this in an email, and for some reason it just cracked me up. I guess I’m just a nerd at heart.
Anyhoo, that’s all I have for you today. Y’all have a lovely Thursday.
